Tea House 1917

Tea House 1917 — A Century-Old Heritage Reimagined

Housed within the historic Taitung Old Station, Tea House 1917 breathes new life into a century-old Japanese wooden structure, transforming it into a cultural and culinary landmark where history, art, and gastronomy meet.

The restaurant presents authentic Hong Kong dim sum and refined Chinese cuisine, with a special highlight—Michelin-starred desserts and signature creations from Le Palais, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant under LDC Hotels & Resorts. Guests can also indulge in Taitung’s exclusive “Three Ways Cherry Valley duck”: crispy skin duck rolls, braised duck leg with rich sauce, and vermicelli soup with preserved greens in duck broth. This signature experience is offered at just NT$980 +10% per duck, delivering world-class flavors at exceptional value.

To complement the dining experience, the beverage menu goes beyond the classics of iced lemon tea and salted lemon soda. Inspired by Taitung’s famed Red Oolong tea, nine original drinks blend local terroir with modern creativity, offering guests a taste of the region in every sip.

From roasted meats and savory soups to noodles, seasonal vegetables, handcrafted dim sum, and desserts, Tea House 1917 curates a versatile menu that welcomes both everyday gatherings and special occasions—designed to be a restaurant locals will love to return to.
